Azure VPN Gateway is Microsoft's managed VPN service for secure cross-premises connectivity between Azure virtual networks and on-premises IT infrastructure. It supports site-to-site (S2S) and point-to-site (P2S) tunnels, with bandwidth options from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps and a 20 Gbps advanced connectivity add-on on newly deployed VpnGw5AZ gateways.
Gateways come in Basic and VpnGw1 to VpnGw5 SKUs, plus zone redundant AZ variants that spread gateways across Availability Zones for higher availability. Tunnel and connection capacity scale by SKU.
