Review guidelines
Reviews are the largest factor in the30top Score, so the rules for them have to be clear. This page explains who can write a review, what we remove, and how imported reviews are treated.

Who can write a review
Anyone who hired a company, or worked with it as a client, can review it from a signed-in account. Each account can review a company once. You can write a review here.
Our system blocks people from reviewing a company they manage on the30top. We do not yet confirm that every reviewer was a client, so we do not label any review as verified.
What is not allowed
- Reviewing your own company, your employer, a company you own part of, or a competitor.
- Reviews written by a company for its clients, or by an agency on someone else's behalf.
- Reviews given in exchange for payment, a discount, a gift or any other reward.
- Asking only happy clients to review, or pressing clients to change a fair review.
- Abuse, threats, discrimination, or private details about a person.
- Content that is not about working with the company, such as a review of a different business.
A company that breaks these rules can be flagged. A flagged company is not ranked while the flag stands.
How reviews are checked
Reviews are published as soon as they are submitted, and our team is notified of every new one. We check them after publication and remove a review that breaks these guidelines. When a review is removed, the company's score is recalculated from the reviews that remain.
We never remove a fair review because a company asks or pays us to. A company that claims its profile can reply publicly to any review and can report a review it believes breaks these rules. Anyone else can report a review by emailing hello@the30top.com with the link to it.
Imported reviews
Some reviews were brought in from third-party sources in bulk rather than written on the30top. On 24 October 2026, 341 of the 351 approved reviews on the site were imported.
- Each one is labeled "Imported review" and shows the date it was imported, not the date it was written.
- The reviewer's identity was not checked by the30top, so imported reviews are shown without a name.
- They count at half weight in the30top Score.
- They are never used for star ratings that appear in search results.
- A company can ask us to remove an imported review that breaks these guidelines, in the same way as any other review.
What we never do
- Write, buy or seed reviews.
- Hide or remove a fair negative review.
- Sell reviews, ratings or the removal of reviews as part of any plan.
- Let reviews of companies owned by, or working with, Incrementors count toward any ranking.
How reviews feed into rankings is set out in the methodology.
