AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery minimizes downtime and data loss by continuously replicating applications to a low-cost staging area subnet in the customer's AWS account and Region. Idle recovery site resources are avoided, so the full recovery environment is paid for only when it is needed.
Applications can be recovered within minutes, at their latest state or from an earlier point in time. A unified process covers testing, recovery and failback, non-disruptive drills confirm the setup, and automation can configure the environment or clean up drill resources.
