About
Deny-by-default application allowlisting from ThreatLocker that blocks unapproved software, including ransomware, before it runs.
ThreatLocker Application Allowlisting is a deny-by-default control that lets only approved software run on an endpoint, blocking everything else, including ransomware and shadow IT. The ThreatLocker agent catalogs applications and their dependencies automatically and recognizes more than 17,000 pre-built apps, so policies can be built from real-world behavior.
Administrators get one-click app approval, policy expirations and full visibility into what runs in the environment. Users can request access through popup prompts, handled by internal IT or the ThreatLocker Cyber Hero team, and can pick trusted apps from an application store. ThreatLocker Insight shows application behavior, adoption and reputation trends. The vendor says the control supports NIST, CMMC, CIS and Essential 8 requirements, and deployment takes hours to days. A 30-day trial is offered.
