Splunk AI Agent Monitoring is part of Splunk Observability Cloud and extends Splunk APM to LLM and agentic applications. An AI agents page lists every agent in the environment with requests, errors, latency, input and output tokens, estimated cost, a quality score, and risk indicators, with historical trends and alerting on those metrics.
It is built on OpenTelemetry and Cisco AGNTCY standards to avoid vendor lock-in, and ties agent traces to infrastructure and application telemetry for root cause analysis. Splunk Agent Observability brings together evaluation, tokenomics, visibility, and guardrails, with an integration with Cisco AI Defense planned to detect and mitigate AI risks such as prompt injection and data leakage.
