Meltano is an open platform for getting data into your warehouse and beyond. It covers extract and load with more than 600 pre-built connectors based on Singer taps and targets, and teams can run pipelines through the UI, CLI, API or an AI assistant. Pipelines are defined as code and kept in version control, so every change is tracked, reviewable and reversible.

For transformation, Meltano integrates directly with dbt and Elementary for data validation, both configured inside the same project. Orchestration is built into Meltano Cloud, while teams with larger estates can pair Meltano for extract and load with Apache Airflow, Dagster or Orchestra. The open source project has been developed since 2018 and its SDK for Singer connectors makes it practical to build custom taps and targets. It suits data engineers and analytics teams who want pipelines they own without per-row pricing.
