Lightworks is a professional non-linear editor for Windows, macOS and Linux that the vendor says has been used to cut Oscar-winning films. It covers the full path from import and organising with bins, tags and search, through timeline editing with a trim engine, to colour, sound, effects, graphics and export.

Lightworks Free is not a time-limited trial and exports finished videos at up to 1080p, including portrait video for social. Create and Pro tiers add more tools, formats and delivery options. The interface can be customised in a fixed or floating layout, and projects can connect to services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Pond5, YouTube and Vimeo.
