Hive

Apache Hive is an open-source data warehouse infrastructure built on top of Apache Hadoop that enables users to query, manage, and analyze large datasets stored in distributed storage systems. It projects a structured, schema-on-read layer onto raw data and provides HiveQL, a SQL-like query language that allows analysts and engineers already familiar with SQL to interact with massive datasets without needing to write complex MapReduce code from scratch. For more advanced use cases, Hive also supports custom mappers and reducers, giving experienced developers the flexibility to plug in their own logic when HiveQL alone is insufficient.
