About
FreeCAD is an open-source parametric 3D modeler for designing real-life objects of any size on Windows, Mac and Linux.
FreeCAD is an open-source parametric 3D modeler made to design real-life objects of any size. Parametric modeling lets you go back into the model history and change its parameters, so designs are easy to modify.
Users sketch constrained 2D geometry as the base for 3D objects, produce production-ready drawings, and read and write many open formats such as STEP, IGES, STL, SVG, DXF, OBJ, IFC and DAE. It also includes finite element analysis tools, experimental CFD, and dedicated BIM, geodata and CAM/CNC workbenches. There are no licensing fees, no sign-up and no paywall.
