Foreman provisions hosts from anywhere, including bare metal, Amazon EC2, Google Compute Engine, OpenStack, Libvirt, oVirt and VMware. It acts as an external node classifier for Puppet and Salt and collects Puppet, Salt and Ansible reports and facts.
A dashboard shows healthy and outdated hosts, with host groups for shared configuration. Hammer CLI, a RESTful API, RBAC with LDAP or FreeIPA, audit tracking and a plugin architecture round out the tool.
