Chainlink is a decentralized oracle platform that lets smart contracts use data and services from outside their own blockchain. Its product suite includes Data Feeds, Data Streams, Proof of Reserve, the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), Verifiable Random Function (VRF), Automation and Functions.

Services are paid for per use, typically in LINK or through sponsors that settle in LINK. Automation upkeeps pay an execution fee, VRF v2.5 requests can be paid in LINK or native tokens, and CCIP messages pay a network fee plus execution costs.
