Duolingo Max
by Duolingo
Duolingo's AI tier with roleplay and video calls
Reviewed by the the30top research team · Last reviewed 2026-10-27
Overview
Duolingo Max includes everything in Super Duolingo plus two AI features: Roleplay, where learners talk through scenarios with in-app characters, and Video Call with Lily for on-demand spoken practice. Roleplay is available to English speakers learning French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Italian, and Video Call covers English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. Max can only be bought and used on the iOS and Android apps, not on the web, and some AI features are missing from courses that are not yet supported.
