Lil Miquela

Lil Miquela is a CGI influencer and musician created in 2016 by Los Angeles startup Brud, later acquired by Dapper Labs. She presents herself as a robot living in LA, and her bio still reads simply "23, L.A, Robot". Miquela has worked with brands like Calvin Klein and Prada, released her own singles, and was named by TIME as one of the most influential people on the internet in 2018. Her storyline made headlines that year when Bermuda, another Brud character, hacked her account and revealed she was not human. Brud has never named the software behind her, though her music uses pitch correction. With about 2.2 million followers and a CAA signing, she remains the reference point for Western virtual influencers.
