Open source browser automation CLI for AI agents

Overview
Agent Browser is a native Rust command line tool that drives browsers over CDP and works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Goose, OpenCode and Windsurf. It offers accessibility tree snapshots with refs, clicking and typing, screenshots, network routing, session persistence, an authentication vault and an MCP server. It is a tool you install and run yourself, so there is no hosted fleet, support contract or managed scaling.
Our verdict
Agent Browser is the lightest way to give a coding agent a browser. It does nothing to help with scale or bot protection.
Best for
Developers who want a free browser tool for their coding agents.
Avoid if
You need a managed cloud, compliance paperwork or a no-code interface.
