Sahara Net was founded in 1989 in Dammam by Kais Al-Essa and Haitham Bu-Aisha, starting as Saudi Arabia's first Bulletin Board Service before becoming the Kingdom's first Internet Service Provider in 1994 and receiving its official ISP license in 1998. Today Sahara Net is a Saudi Joint Stock Company operating data centers and Security Operations Centers across the country, offering connectivity, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and managed IT services to enterprise and government clients under Vision 2030's digital transformation push.
